Roads

Posted in: Turtle Cove

I recently moved to Turtle Cove in September and if I had known the county didn't care about the roads, I'm almost certain I wouldn't of moved there! There are so many pot hols and road that were once paved and now dirt that it is ridiculous.  I have already had to have my car aligned since moving to the community! ONCE since moving in, the holes have been filled with about a hand full of rocks which are quickly back to being monstrous potholes with a day! You almost have to have a Tuck or and SUV to come off of Meadowlard onto Whippoorwill. Rocky Creek Road gets scraped atleast once a month if not every two months, what is it going to take for the roads in our community to get scraped?

The county does not have any money; we are a densely populated county with a lot of roads. The county commissioners are working hard to get the funding for the Jackson lake road project but unless we can get more Tax revenue coming in we will always have this problem.

The residents here aren't asking for them to come and pave the roads, but atleast scraping it would be nice...

and as for Jackson Lake Road...I found myself in the ditch the other night when it rained because you cannot see the white lines on the side of the road. Or if you try to dodge the potholes you will hit an oncoming car head on!! Its a no win situation!

turtle cove is making people move away, ($300 for what)

people moving away = less tax revenue for jasper co.= bad roads getting worse.

do the math turtle cove, you are your own worst enemy.
