THE RHODE ISLAND DIETETIC ASSOCIATION (RIDA) announces its 6^th annual Nutrition Fuels Fitness 5K Walk/Run, Kids Fun Run and Obstacle Course, Health Fair, and RI Food Bank fundraiser

When:  Saturday, April 11, 2009, Rain or Shine

Where:  Goddard Park, Warwick, RI

Time:  9:30 AM, kids' events start

            10 AM  5K begins

Registration: $18 for pre-registration ($20 day of race registration)

                        $4 for kids' events ($5 day of race registration)

Details:  This event also includes a Health Fair, Massage

            Therapy table, "Ask the Dietitian" table, Raffles, Awards Ceremony, and Healthy

            Refreshments.  Team prizes for fastest female and male teams and the team with the largest number of participants (5K event).

            Help feed the hungry by bringing in non-perishable food or money to donate; free

            raffle ticket for food bank donation.

The brand-new, kids' obstacle course is not to be missed!  It will include drills similar to ones used by the Boston Red Sox, the New England Patriots, the Boston Celtics, and the NY Yankees.  Get in shape like the pros do!  Learn important training and nutrition tips.

This event is for people of all ages and activity levels.  Come with your family and friends!
