Magnolia Neighborhood Association

Municipal Dictates

Posted in: Tanglewood - Southfield
How much, if any, influence should your City departments and respesentatives have in determining the operation of your neighborhood associations?
As important, should city departments determine, through their own method of interpretation, leadership in your neighborhood association?

I beleive the city should be available to assist and to help. Even answer questions dealing with code or legal issues. However, I believe that the officers should have the final word.

An excellent example of what can happen when there is unwarranted interference from city departments and officials, who attempt to dictate the leadership of a neighborhood association, is the demise of a once active, viable Tanglewood Homeowners Association in Southfield.
