The City Manager has denied Madisonville's number one Community Priority Request for a Dental Clinic. We are the only one of the 6 clinics in Cincinnati which does not have a dental clinic. Our residents have to travel to Avondale, Northside, Millvale, Elm Street or Price Hill to receive dental services. If you are a new patient, it may take as long as 2 years to get an appointment. Even if you are seen as an emergency patient, you must travel out of your community to do so.
We are asking for Madisonville residents to write or e-mail their city council members to request that Madisonville be given it's number one priority request, a dental clinic.
Of the 5 items requested by our residents, only one was fully funded and given any money at all.
To see a fact sheet on the need for a dental clinic, go back to the Madisonville newsletter and click on the article entitled Dental Facts.
There will be a public hearing on November 28 at the Hartwell Community Center on 59 Caldwell Drive where residents can be heard. If you want to represent Madisonville, please contact Sue Micheli at 561-9343.
