Crime Alert! Madison Park

Posted in: Madison Park

8/14/13 was the 4300 block of Castlewood.  7:33 PM.  So we have a range from 2:53 to 11 PM on the 3 cases.  Not necessary related cases.  Just the time frames these happened.

Guess the main point was just because most people are home from work don't let down your guard.  We had similar issues back a couple of summers ago wtih afternoons and even ings in the month of July / August.    I remember because Lt. Hulsey put on extra patrols during NNO, so our residents could come out and feel safe leaving their homes that year.

I say just be sure to report any thing that looks out of place.  Better safe than sorry.  Call 911 and let the officers check out anything that does not look right.   Again you can tell them to not reveal your name or info when calling 911,  and they will respect your request.    They normally will ask if you wish to speak to the officer and say no if that is your choice.

I will definitely call 911 if anything looks suspicious. My neighbor and I exchange texts if one of us leaves and the other is at home, and there is a suspicious car parked near house or if a person looks suspicious. The key is awareness and knowing a call to police is warranted if we feel we uncomfortable with a person or situation.

I have been uncomfortable before driving home and circled the block.   I have left and circled back because something looked odd as I pulled out of my driveway.

My neighbor years ago came home one night and was robbed in his driveway.  He was sitting in his driveway with his wife listening to a song.   Someone pulled up on the street and stuck a gun in his face while he was in his car.   That was years ago...but just saying people should be careful always.   They figured someone just started tailing them along Tyvola.

Hopefully people down in your area know which cars belong.

It would help the police patrol if they made sure to put on the Madison Park Auto Cling.  That was requested by our community officer to help them when they are patroling ID cars that belong.  It really does make is so much quicker for them to just glance.

We still have plenty of them.   We will have them at upcoming HOA meetings if someone wishes to get one.
