Wazee Becomes Two-Way Street

After much debate -and much action by many interest groups and individuals, especially Joe Dolan, LDDI Transportation Committee Chair- it was announced this May that Wazee Street will become a two-way street by the end of 2001.
"The centerpiece o four transportation plan," says Joe Dolan, "has always been to make Lower Downtown pedestrian friendly and to slow traffic." Wazee Street becoming a two-way street, he says, is a first step I making this goal. The future? Look for even more two-way streets to be a part of LoDo.
