DRRO: Fashion Bags and Parking Problems

Jul 18, 2000

At the Market Street Station, Farmer's Market this summer, DDRO will be selling "top fashion" shopping bags to raise the visibility of DDRO, encourage new members, and add more color to downtown Denver. Cost is $5.
Noise, Traffic and Parking
On a more serious note, DDRO is working with councilwoman Debbie Ortega's office (with assistant Kim Kucera) to arrive at a solution to the noise/traffic/parking problem on Larimer Square.
Residents, tourists, conventioneers, and metro Denver visitors are distressed with the situation as it is now. Strollers and shoppers are assaulted by the level of noise. With summer upon us, a change needs to be made, and hopefully a resolution will soon improve the problem.
Summer Party and Forum Planned
A summer party is being planned for August, so watch for announcements in LoDo and Downtown Denver News, posters and a mailing. DDRO will host another Forum in September.
Broncos Book By Board Member
Board member Jim McNally has co-authored a book with Charlie Goldberg, titled BRONCOS! How Sweet It Is! Which is a tribute to Charlie Goldberg, a history of the Broncos and downtown Denver starting in 1937. Introductions are by Pat Bowlen and Leon Uris. Want one? Call 303-863-1500.
