Lower Downtown District, Inc.

From the Director's Chair

Jun 24, 1999

--By Dan du Bois

It just won't be the same! For the last five years, during the month of June, I have been running around doing "Brewfest" stuff. Picking up buns, building water
manifolds, soliciting money and a variety of other chores filled my Daytimer. I will miss the activity. Fortunately, I will be doing some of the same things in July, getting ready for the "Fox Sports News Rocky Mountain LoDo Games!" What a title for an event! The "Games" promise to be lots of fun for everyone...teams and spectators!

Forty teams of ten will compete for prizes. Cheerleaders will be present to add spirit and the public is invited to come and watch. Talk to your friends today about putting together your award-winning team. For details, call me at LDDI.

Every time I feel that things are not moving fast enough, I try to step back and look at what we have accomplished over the last 14 months. I started this job officially on March 6, 1998, and since then we have managed to increase the
membership, decrease expenses, garner more donations so that we can provide more services to our members and the community. This, of course, has happened because of
all the great people in our organization pitching in with their time, effort, money and concern. Thanks for your help. Keep it up...we're just getting started.

I love my job!
