Increasing Property Value

Posted in: W Buechel

What can we do to increase property value? I moved here 3 years ago next month. No one seems to be very inspired to keep up on neighborhood appearence, or property value. I would love it if we could form some community organization for how best to spend the funds meant to enhance our little area. http://www.herwig.com/ street signs, lights fictures ect. on this site inspire an old fashioned neighborhood. Maybe we can find places that will give city grants to help individuals fix what they can not afford. Maybe even just have neighbors share NO HOW and time. Some streets back here still need sidewalks. Sidewalks for walking and exercising..."still not sure that I understand the speed bumps"...and the park needs to be more significant. I think the community center could be better used as a library with computers, and or maybe still a empty room for gatherings in the court house. Used by residents FOR things like birthdays or babyshowers etc.with a deposit of course and a small fee for clean up

.

I guess what I'm saying is, if we look like we are falling apart how can that help with any realistate issues like growth, and value. I think this area has the potential to really be nice. Just not without help, ideas, effort and a plan. Please forgive any type-O's. Stay blessed.

Yes our little city could have it all.I am a 21 year resident and have seen this city slowly go down hill.4 years ago I was elected to the city council for the city. The first thing that we did was a complete makeover on the community center which turned out great. After that we got the parking lot/basketball court resurfaced. I made sure that we had ours lines for the bb court put back on.Next I undertook doing some landscaping which included mulch around the trees in the city and the community center. I planted a three season flower garden that would have looked great in time.Well my 2 years on the council ended when I did not receive enough votes for a second term(lost by 7 votes) Needless to say but this administration would not give me the funds needed for a few replacement plants and some mulch.I was going to provide the labor myself but was ignored when I asked for them items.Well it is election time again and I am running for a seat on the council.I got alot of things that I would like to do and to get the community involved in some thing to help clean up and redecorate the city
