St. Paul's Description of God

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is,

there is freedom.

And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory,

are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory,

which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”

 2 Corinthians 3-17 to 18

“He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation>”

Colossians 1:15

“For since the creation of the world his invisible attributes are clearly seen,

being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead,

so that they are without excuse.”

Romans 1:20

“Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise,

be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.”

1 Timothy 1:17

 And before Paul,

the author of the Gospel of John put it this way:

“God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth"

 John 4:24

“It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing;

the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.”

John 6:63

Today, Scholars say the Bible teaches that God does not have a body.
