Louisville Process Theology Network

Kentucky

Location: Louisville Presbyterian Seminary

The Louisville Presbyterian Seminary offers a class on process theology in the spring semester every other year. It's described as follows: This course will introduce the 20th century theological movement known as Process or Relational theology. Through close reading of early texts of the movement and a review of the social context with which it arose the seminar participants will be invited to a full engagement with this theological tradition. It will be our purpose to identify not only the discrete contours of the movement but also identify its place in the late 20th century theological discourse. Readings include: ''Process Theology: An Introductory Exposition'' by John B. Cobb and David Ray Griffin. ''Why God?'' by Burton Z. Cooper ''God, Christ, Church: A Practical Guide to Process Theology'' by Marjorie Suchocki ''What is Process Theology'' by Robert B. Mellert ''Cosmic Love and Human Wrong: The Recognition of Sin in the Light of Process Thinking'' by Norman Pittenger ''A Key to Whitehead's Process and Theology'' by Donald Sherburne.
