Popshelf is closing some of its stores and turning them into Dollar General Stores.  They are owned by the same company.   PopShelf was a new concept dollar type store targeting suburban communities.   

There were plans to expand the concept just a year or two ago, but appears the brakes have been put on that rapid expansion.  

Some stories started to appear in June 2023 that plans were changing.
