It appears we have missed green cans in parts of the area. Odd side of Londonderry.  At 6 PM 311 solid waste had no info of truck breakdowns or problems with pick ups.  The operator took a report and said to call back in the morning if they did not pick up.   She said they had until 7 PM to pickup today.  I said that would be a first if they arrived that late.    There was recent fires at the MRF aka Material Recovery Facility.  Apparently battery fires.  Don't put batteries in your green carts.   I was told yesterday there was two recent fires.  

You can drop those batteries off at any full service Meck County Solid Waste Recycling Center. 

My friend that works for City Solid Waste services emailed and said she was meeting with Solid Waste Thursday and will discuss this issue with them.  It has been happening more frequently in the area.   She said she would also tell them they need to come back out and empty the green cans. This will happen most likely on Thursday.   Just leave the cans curb side until they are emptied.

She said sometime the truck fills up and they have to go dump it and return. She said that would not be the case this late in the day. 

Those trucks video record their pickups so they can quickly tell if they came or what route they took. 

Crazy misses this week.   Odd side of Londonderry, both side of Seacroft at least South of Tyvola and both sides of Camborne Place.   

They miss Kentland Lane about every week, but got both side of that little spur over to the school off Londonderry. 

However the yard waste truck missed two bags at a house that had been out for several days early in the street on Kentland.  Codes had an open case already for that location so not sure if it was for the yard waste out early or not.  I just know there was an open case.
