Thank you for your concerns

Wow, it rained non-stop for four months?!!
Really?

I feel the reason you resigned was purely because you could not get your way. You decided to ''record'' the meeting in question. All you have to do is listen to the taped recording of exactly how that meeting went. I wanted to be fiscally responsible with the little monies that remained. I was never against the fountain, or any other improvements that were discussed but I felt there were more pressing issues that needed to be addressed than installing a fountain in the lake behind your house.I still feel to this day that if the homeowners on that lake would simply pull the weeds and lillies out of their own lake edge, that lake would not be nearly as bad. If you remember you kept pressing the issue by stating there was a ''sess pool'' behind your house. I then tabled the discussion about the feasability of moving the fountain in the larger lake for a period of time to the smaller lake to clean things up. Nothing took place regarding that because you and one other board member (that would not disagree with you on anything) kept pressing away on buying a new fountain. If my memory serves me correctly we had approx. $2100.00 in the associations account at the time to last us until the next years dues were paid and the fountain was going to cost us at least $1200.00 by the time everything was done. I did not think that was smart financially at the time and still do not do!! I remember you being pretty upset about the fact that after the board at the time pointed the total financial picture out to you that when the formal vote on wether to buy the fountain or not came about, even YOU VOTED AGAINST IT!! Listen to the recording, you still have it! I may have missed one or two meetings due to my work schedule but i was always accessible by cell phone or e-mail and i believe if you listen to the recording in question, i even told you that at the meeting. We also discussed at that meeting that no, one board member should do anything on their own. It was not long after that that you decided, since you were not getting your way that you would resign. We did discuss the need for improving the cul-de-sacs but the discussion of moving pool dirt there never took place in any formal meeting. If my memory serves me correctly the dirt you moved to the cul-de-sacs was not from your pool, it was from your back yard when you decided to dig out the lake edge behind your house without board approval which in turn altered the appearance of not only your lake egde, but your neighbors as well. As far as the issues of friendships being dissolved, that is really not a topic of discussion for this web site. I will say that i personally feel that a friendship is something that goes both ways between the friends. Not just one way or when someone needs something do they call. The children's relationships have all suffered and i think that is a total shame. I believe i told you that also in the recorded meeting. The fact of all the friction between the board members, in my opinion has nothing to do with former friendships, it was totally due to the fact that you wanted total control and you could not have it. The reason i resigned from the board is totally different from yours. I have enough stress in my life from my job much less the disputes that go on with the board or former board members. I feel that Dwight has done a good job with the neighborhood and you did a good job putting the association together. But like Colby said, being a board member is almost a full time job. With the hours i work and the other board members work i believe it was a difficult assignment.
