Pumpkins in the Park

Picture

History

Started in 2003, Pumpkins in the Park is a free, family-friendly Lincoln Park Neighborhood tradition which draws over 100 residents to the park every Halloween. Neighborhood children are invited to participate in a pumpkin-carving contest, do arts & crafts activities and eat autumnal snacks.

Now

In 2006, over 120 residents took part in Pumpkins in the Park, including over 40 community volunteers. Edible arts & crafts projects and custom-made caramel apples were enjoyed by children, youth, parents and volunteers.
