Supporting Choice in Learning

LIFE, Inc. is a Tampa-based statewide non-profit organization, that supports educational choice and advocates a cooperative environment between public, private and home education.
Membership is free and open to all.

We believe

?· education is a basic human right

?· learning is a life-long process

?· everyone should be free to learn in ways that suit each of us best

?· there should be equal access to all educational venues

?· good communications between learners and educators is critical to an effective learning environment

?· people are fully capable of using a wide variety of resources and education information to make the decisions that are best for their families.

Broad Based Information

LIFE helps members explore various educational choices, but only with the understanding that there is no one ''right'' way to learn. We won?’t be interpreting or translating laws in Florida or anywhere else for you, or telling you what curricula or vendors to use or who to listen to. We provide no intermediaries between you and the state or your county. You don?’t need any.

Rather, we empower you to make your own informed decisions, by providing you with a wide selection of legislative, educational and civil resources and contacts from which to find answers for a variety of questions. We also believe that learning doesn?’t have to be expensive, or prepackaged, or specifically ''gifted'' oriented, or ''learning disabled'' focused to meet our children?’s varying needs and abilities, but that a rich and meaningful variety of real-time, hands-on resources are available, largely for free, in our libraries, online and in our own backyards and communities; that by simply living an active, engaged, productive life, your children will learn everything they need to know to become active, engaged and productive adults.

We hope you find our compendium of information and resources helpful, and that you will continue to add your own findings as time goes on and you discover that Learning Is For Everyone and, engaged in warmly and with passion, does indeed inspire a never-ending desire to learn more!
