We encourage sharing information between neighbors & neighborhood groups.
LeConte continues to gain strength through numbers, with many members dedicated to specific goals for improving our ''quality of life'' as well as dealing with crime/emergency/development issues.
Some of our successes include: Landscaped traffic circles, Better street lighting, Joseph Le Conte Butterfly Garden, Reel Video (instead of Hollywood), Berkeley Bowl relocation, Tight controls on Any Mountian parking, signage & hours, NO Residential Parking Permits for new housing near UC, etc.
We distribute over 1,200 newsletters, bi-monthly. We strongly encourage block membership in Neighborhood Watch and/or Disaster Resistance
Berkeley projects.
