Lakewood Heights has a rich history of hard working people that care about the present and past exsistance of their community. Recently there has been some difficult times but the community has ralleid together and to chanllenge the powers that be to come to the fore front and become apart of our civic army of neighborhood soilders. Lakewood Heights is a neighborhood of diverse people with unique backgrounds.Our mission is to give everyone a sense of owership and pride in the transition efforts and strides that are beinging made.,ie, Lakewood Village, Joyland, Highpoint, with single family ranging from 100.000 to 150.000. The Lakewood Redevelopment Corperation-which has its goals set to build an assistant living facility for the elder, overnight daycare for swing shift working partents, and re-invest in the present and future of our community and create training for jobs and other skilled position for community members that reside in the South Atlanta neighborhood.
