Lake Tamarisk

I live in Desert Center and have been hearing a lot about First
Solars project but I wasn’t aware that BLM was looking at our desert for a massive large scale solar project. How did we not know about this? I have major concerns about how our desert will survive with such a large scale disturbance of the natural habitat. I am also worried about what will happen if the projects fail. How will they restore the land? The Iron Wood trees out there can be as old as 800 years. I believe we have an exceptional Iron Wood population and would just hate to see it all bull dozed under. What about the animal life that lives under the trees and schrub and the birds that roost and hunt from the trees, I mean it goes on and on.
