Your welcome
Your welcome,
I do care, if someone doesn't tell me what my girls are doing, then I don't have a clue. Kids can tell you anything you want to hear, doesn't mean it's the truth.
I will admit, I know my children are not perfect. I know they are probably out there acting like they shouldn't be. I was their age and I remember the things we did when our parents weren't looking. It was no where close to what the kids are doing these days. But still the same I don't want my kids in trouble or hurt or any child for that fact.
Some of the kids in the neighborhood do act like crap and are so disprectful, it's truly sickening. I don't ever remember acting that bad when we were their age. We might have had out radios up to loud in our cars or at the park, but when the older neighbors would ask us to turn it down we did, we didn't get nasty with them, it was about respect towards an adult. Over the years our children have forgotten that and think they are grown and can do whatever they want.
I know I hate it when I drive down my block and kids are standing in the middle of the street and I try to get by they just look at me and don't move. One day they will do it to the wrong person and that person might just get pissed off and run the their car into them, then maybe they will learn, but by then it might be to late.
Most of the kids on my block play basketball at the dead end which is fine, I'm glad they have something to do instead of drinking or doing drugs, but they need to be respectful for the neighbors who live their and park their cars on the street.
I also know with summer coming and school ending it will just get worst. We have a lot of single parents in the neighborhood and most parent are gone working during the day, which mean our children/teenagers will be home alone and running the streets and doing as they please, but if there are neighbors out their willing to let the parents know what is going on, maybe it will stop just a little.
Also, anyone is welcome to come to my house to talk to me also. I'm usually home after 5PM. My boyfriend will be home during the day over the summer, but he works 3rd shift, so he will be sleeping. During the day if I can't be reach, please go see him. His name is Frank. He is also aware of these posting and welcomes neighbors to talk to him about things.
I know this is long, but thanks for listening and letting me vent.
Thanks,
Bobbi
