CRIME REPORT; 01-24-11

 

 Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered over the weekend…

 

At about 5:55 P.M. yesterday afternoon, Officer Harris responded to a call of a theft in the 4100 block of Brookhollow.  Upon arrival, Officer Harris learned that a 56 year old male had hooked his vehicle up to a flat bed trailer that did not belong to him.  The victim observed this and attempted to stop the subject by standing in the middle of the alley and waving his hands at the subject.  The subject did not stop and accelerated toward the victim.  The victim tried to get out of the way, but was hit by the trucks side mirror.  The victim was able to chase the subject down and detain him until the police arrived.  The male subject was charged with Aggravated Robbery and it was found that he had local warrants also.

 

At about 6:00 P.M. last night, Officer Hall was dispatched to a call of an intoxicated subject in the 900 block of North Willis.  Upon arrival he contacted a 61 year old male who was extremely intoxicated and could not walk without falling.  The male was placed under arrest and charged with Public Intoxication. 

 

Finally at about 1:00 A.M. this morning, Officer Ruiz responded to a call of an injured subject in the 4000 block of Loop 322.  A 23 year old male was found passed out in his vehicle.  The odor of marijuana could be smelt coming from inside the vehicle.  A search of the defendant revealed a useable amount of marijuana and also several prescription pills that the subject did not have a prescription for.  He was placed under arrest for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

CRIME REPORT; 01-25-11

 

 

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24 hours…

 

At about 12:35 P.M. yesterday afternoon, Officer Phipps responded to a call of a intoxicated person in the 2100 block of Pine.  Upon arrival, he located a 47 year old male passed out in a parking lot.  This subject was intoxicated and was a danger to himself as he could have been hit by a vehicle traveling in the parking lot.  He was placed under arrest and charged with Public Intoxication.

 

At about 1:51 P.M. yesterday afternoon, Officer Perkins responded to a call of a disturbance in the 3000 block of West Lake Road.  A witness had reported that a 20 year old male was assaulting a female subject in the parking lot.  Prior to police arrival the male had drug the female back into an apartment.  The subjects would not answer the door upon police arrival.  Due to the unknown status of the female, officers forced entry into the apartment.  When the officer stepped inside the apartment, the male subject started toward the door with a baseball bat.  The subject did drop the bat and was arrested for Assault Family Violence.

 

Finally at about, 12:02 A.M. this morning, Officer Richardson was travelling northbound in the 700 block of Pioneer when a vehicle traveling west bound on South 7th ran the blinking red light and almost struck the officer.  A traffic stop was initiated and it was found that the driver, a 47 year old male, had a local traffic warrant for his arrest.  He was placed under arrest and transported to the Taylor County Jail.

Crime Report; 1/26/2011

 

 Good Morning! Here is your police report for Wednesday 1/26/2011…

 

At about 3:00 yesterday afternoon, Officer Migliore was dispatched to an apartment complex in the 1000 block of Justice Way regarding a theft. The victim reported that someone had stolen a 6ft x3ft aluminum wheel chair ramp that connected a sidewalk to a parking lot. The ramp had been attached to the concrete, and was valued at $1,200.00. A report was taken for theft.

 

At about 3:15 yesterday afternoon, Officer Carroll contacted a person in the 1000 block of Cherry that the Officer knew was wanted. The person, a 36 year old female was arrested on warrants charging Probation Violation (Misdemeanor Theft) and three traffic warrants totaling over $1,000.00

 

At about 2:00 this morning Officer Valdez stopped a car in the 1400 block of Hickory for having invalid license plates. A check revealed that the passenger, a 33 year old female had warrants for Assault and Interference with an Emergency Call. A K-9 was called to the scene and alerted on the vehicle and further investigation revealed that the driver, a 31 year old female, had a quantity of methamphetamine on her person. These women were arrested on the respective charges and booked into the Taylor County Jail.

CRIME REPORT; 01-27-11

 Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24 hours…

 

At about 10:45 P.M. last night, Officer Richardson stopped a vehicle in the 1500 block of Barrow for running a red light. Upon contacting the driver, a 29 year old male, the officer could smell the odor of marijuana.  A search of the driver revealed a useable amount of marijuana.  During the search, a pair of brass knuckles was also located in the driver’s possession.  He was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon.

 

At about 3:40 A.M. this morning, Sgt. Haak observed a vehicle in the 2300 block of Moore driving recklessly and failing to maintain a single lane. Sgt. Haak initiated a traffic stop and the driver, a 50 year old female refused to pull over.  She continued driving at a slow speed and a short chase ensued.  She finally pulled over and was contacted.  Upon contact it was obvious she was intoxicated.  She did perform the field sobriety tests and failed.  She also provided a breath sample that was three times the legal limit.  She was arrested and charged with Felony Evading in a Vehicle and Driving While Intoxicated.

 

Finally at about 3:50 A.M. this morning, Officer Hutchinson stopped a vehicle in the 1800 block of North 20th for a license plate violation.  Upon contacting the driver, a 23 year old male, Officer Hutchinson noticed that he had a marijuana cigarette behind his left ear.  A check of his driver’s license also showed that it was suspended.  He was placed under arrest for Driving While License Invalid and Possession of Marijuana.  While searching the vehicle several bags containing a large amount of marijuana were located.  The driver was charged with Driving While License Invalid and Felony Possession of Marijuana.
