All,

To say the least, it has been interesting first half of the year at Kuumba Academy. The PTA is looking to increase attendance at meetings by moving the March 2007 meeting from the 10th (Saturday) to the 15th (Thursday) at 6 pm. We had to cancel the February 2007 meeting because of the weather conditions. The March 2007 General Membershp Meeting is very important because we will be deciding or at least nominating two general members each to attend the Delaware PTA and National PTA Conferences respectively. Additionally, we will be presenting our revised bylaws for review to the general membership and possibly vote on the adoption of the revised bylaws at the April 2007 General Membership Meeting.

Once again, the PTA Fundraising Chair (Ivy L. Green-Blue) did an excellent job with raising funds to support various school and/or PTA programs such as Rites of Passage, Girl's club, and the cheerleaders. Please save the date August 25, 2007 for the Founders' Day Celebration at the Chase Center on the Riverfront.
