I don't think it's fair to compare freedom of speech to th right to bear arms.

In the United States, the meaning of ''bear arms'' is a matter of recent dispute and continuing political debate. One argument is whether the expression involves the rights of the individual to 'bear arms' meaning to 'have arms', or whether it relates to a military service meaning of 'bear arms' as with the functioning and maintenance of a militia.

Irregardless people die in the use of fire arms. The same can not be said with the freedom of speech. While a pen may be mighter than a sword it is not near as deadly. Words may hurt, anger, and bring sadness, but they leave us with the ability to tell the story. Guns leave a eerie silance that is all to final.

Have a good Day.

Peace

Chosen your wrong

Just in recent news there was a girl who commited suicide because of what was written on a computer.
Many people have died for the right to have freedom of speech. Talk about those of us who hear the silence screeming ,from those whom have died for the freedom of speech. What I'm am talking about is the resposiibility of speech. Are you responsible? Or as careless as the person you talked about that fired that gun? Your words can be fatel. Please think about what you say before you say it.

No, not wrong

You can die for without dying from. Meaning if I support and fight for the rights to bear arms this would not mean I'd have to die by gun shot. Just as if I fought for freedom of speech does not mean I'd have to exercise that right.

A person killing themselfs over of words said or written is sad to say the least and are not a result of words, but deeper issues.

Good Day

Herman...about the officer shot...Ease up on chosen, this is just another example of what police do..my guess would be the cop knocked and tried to present himself as someone he wasn't in an attempt to trick the shooter to open the door so they could rush him...lies and trickery is the detective game. Most aren't good at it, but unfortunately, it's what they're taught. Blame the trainers of deceit for this.
