I gave you the link to the Archdiocese of Detroit, which has both the Detroit study and the John Jay report. Nobody's hiding anything there. Nobody is also denying that the Church made a grave mistake. You will not see the likes of this type of scandal again.

Church and sexual abuse

I think the thing that makes the church scandal so bad is, That the Priest were entrusted with a sort of repect and they were the guardians of peoples love , emotions trust and faith,not to mention children. Not only were some priest involved but also some bishops and others all the way up the latter.And you can bet a bunch of nuns knew also and many church members knew. So it stuck home pretty deep with a lot of people.

I don't know how wide spread it is or was, I don't attend church and never really did on a very regular basis, But even so, 3 of the 4 priest that I have come in contact with have been involved in the scandal. Two out a one parish right here in Wyandotte. What are you going to do? Let it distroy your faith or your love of God, I would hope not. Priest are only people, They are not annoited by God to do their work they choose their work. and you can bet there are sick fooks in every profession. So it's not the church or every priest, it was some and a major cover by way more than it should of been.
God isn't a church, and you can't be lead to God, you don't need anybody to find God, If you want to believe in God, all you need is yourself and faith, Nothing else. There's no need to justify your love for the church or to feel you need to protect it. It's just a building and religion is just an organization.. IT don't mean a thing, If your hearts not right. KT
