Angry About an Issue? Neighhorhood Problems Can Be Resolved

May 08, 2008

The largest crowd of the year came out for the April 15 meeting.

Those attending heard an informative presentation by Matt Gallagher, Code Enforcement Officer for the Department of Codes and Regulations. Metro Government is blanketed by 42 census districts. Gallagher covers primarily Councilman Johnson's District.

High grass, trash, abandoned properties, missed trash collection are just a few of the issues that are addressed through code enforcement. There are 3 ways to report concerns; first by dialing 311 to speak directly to a representative; through the city website at www.louisvilleky.gov (you'll find a menu problems from which to select) or if you are a resident of Councilman Johnson's district to call Gallagher directly. At the end of the presentation, he distributed business cards to all in attendence.
