Our Neighborhood Crimewatch at work!!!! A neighborhood captain reported the following: A neighbor and a visiting friend and her son walked outside their house Saturday (9/14) evening around 10:45pm, and saw that there was a small red car (did not know what type, and could never see the license plate and wondered if it even had one) in the driveway of a neerby home and she knew that there should not be (owner is living out-of-state, though there is still furniture inside while it's for sale). When the driver realized that they'd been seen, they quickly backed out of the driveway and squealed away. She called the non-emergency number, and a sherriff came out. He walked around the home and area nearby, and found nothing. But, while he was still in the area, the car returned, and she and her son quickly realized that this was the same car, and the sherriff took off after it. She was not sure what happened after that, but thinks that the sherriff (or another officer assisting him that she did not see) did stop this person and possibly arrest them, since she saw tow-truck shortly after that,in area where that car had been. We have a follow up call in to the sherrif's department to get an update. We would like to say THANK YOU to the neighbor who took the time to help protect our neighborhood! Last night, September 12th, at around 10:30 pm a white car similar to a Ford Taurus came speeding down Midlothian Lane wrecking into a neighborhood electrical box, taking down a fire hydrant and plowed into a neighbors car, causing extensive damage. Anyone who may have seen this car, or may know the person responsible, please contact the Marion County Sheriffs department. The car may have suffered major damage and is missing a headlight.

Our community pool has been vandalized. The vent on the Monitor's office door has been broken open. Also, the fence around the baby pool has been bent from someone climbing on it. Anyone with information on this matter please contact Crime Watch Coordinator at 481-8024. Please keep a watch on the pool area and report any suspicious activity to the Sheriff's Dept. Thank You Daniel Ahlbrand
