Pool Closed Temporarily

Posted in: Country Club Place
The pool is temporarily closed - the water is a not-so-pretty shade of green. Apparently the storms and heavy rain of the last couple days resulted in a chemical imbalance of some sort.

I have talked to Meridian Management and we have both left messages for the pool service to determine when the pool may be useable again. It looks as if the service may have visited this morning, but I can't confirm if they began a treatment process. I will pass along details as soon as I know anything.

I apologize for the inconvenience, especially on a very hot day. I know lots of you wanted to use the pool today!!

Pool Update

We have heard from the pool service. Apparently Saturday evening's storm knocked out power to the pumps and kept them offline. That event combined with the heavy rains both Friday and Saturday led to a poor chemical environment.

The pool was treated Sunday morning and the pumps put back online. The pool service will be out first thing Monday morning to check on the treatment progress and let us know when it will be OK to use.

Thanks for your patience!

Pool Update - Monday 7/7

The pool service checked the pool chemical levels this morning and found them to be acceptable, although the water was still slightly cloudy. The pool was opened for use.

The Board of Health stopped by around mid-day to review the chemical levels. They also found them to be acceptable, however, they did not think the water was clear enough yet. They requested that the pool be closed for the rest of today. I don't know if the cloudy water was deemed to be a health issue or a swimmer safety issue (being able to see to the bottom of the pool).

The pool service will check again tomorrow morning. Hopefully another night will be enough to get the water clear enough.

Thanks again for your patience.

Update - Back to Normal

The pool service checked chemical levels and water clarity Tuesday morning and found them to be acceptable. The Board of Health also stopped by and confirmed that the water was acceptable.

Thank you for your understanding!
