1. Meeting called to order by President Geraghty
New residents were invited to introduce themselves. President Geraghty moved to dispense reading of minutes contained in newsletter, motioned seconded and approved.
3. Treasurer’s report by Bob Jacobsen
Treasurer discussed Balance Sheet. Cash increased from last year. There were three major pool expenses; major crack repair, rebuilt filtration motor and new chlorine pump.
Treasurer discussed Income & Expense Statement. Association account had significant increase due to an annual fee increase, a 100% collection rate and a higher than usual number of membership fees. New members were 20, average is about 14. Pool account had higher income, higher expenses and surplus was greater than last year. Tennis account had expenses for painting of light poles and bulb replacement.
There was a motion to approve the Treasurer’s report, motion was seconded and approved.
4. Pool Committee presentation by Bob Jacobsen, substituting for Michelle DeVol
Pool had 60 family memberships, up from 58 last year. A resident asked why some of the Annual Fee supports the pool. President Geraghty responded by indicating that the pool and tennis courts are considered part of the association and community of Indian Hills. Bob indicated that the pool had increased revenues in guest fees and snack stand. The Corn Hole Fundraiser was a success. Private party fees increased due to increase in events from 1 to 7. Water and payroll expenses increased. Tennis lessons were provided by Dan Hoffman. There were 17 family tennis memberships. Courts are in good condition.
5. Entrances Committee presentation by Ed Geraghty
Ed indicated that Belinda Bardall was stepping down as Entrances Committee Chairperson. Ed stated there had not been any volunteer to assume chair. Ed

asked for a volunteer but no one accepted. Jack Conner mentioned that he
waterproofed all walls.
6. Blockwatch Committee presentation by Gini Peloquin
Gini encouraged phone calls by residents to both the Columbus Police and herself to report incidents in neighborhood. Gini encouraged regular contact with neighbors, be alert and cautious.
President Geraghty commended Jack Conner for his efforts in welcoming of new residents.
Jack Conner reported an unusually loud aircraft to OSU Airport hotline. Jack received a returned call from OSU. Jack was pleased with the response and quick turnaround.
Corey Zerkle announced the upcoming annual Halloween party at the pool.
7. Old Business
President Geraghty stated there was no outstanding business.
8. New Business
Proposed 2007-2008 budget presented by Bob Jacobsen. New budget reflects membership fees for the average of 14 new residents. The entrances expense was increased from previous year. There was discussion of whether the association should consider some level of professional maintenance and general clean-up for entrances landscape. An additional amount was added for snow removal. There was a motion to accept the proposed budget, motion was seconded and approved.
President Geraghty announced the names on the ballot for the election of officers and trustees 2007-2008. Listed officers did not have opposition. There was a motion from the floor to elect officers as listed, motion was seconded and approved. IHRA Officers and Trustees for 2007-2008 were elected as followed (all one year term unless noted);

There was a question from the floor about Belinda’s involvement with the entrances. Belinda’s role would be limited, if any at all. The number of volunteers for entrance committee was significantly down. Committee work includes watering and weeding which could be a major time commitment. There was discussion of a $1500.00 quote received from local company to provide general clean-up in spring and fall. President Geraghty emphasized the need for a chairperson/organizer. possibility of installing an irrigation system. A resident asked about uniformity in mailboxes, that they should be similar to the style of home rather than metal poles. Officers will continue to discuss limited services from professional landscape company.
President Geraghty motioned to adjourn, motion was seconded and approved. Meeting adjourned at 8:25 p.m.
