Neighbors raise $2100 for Disaster Relief Fund!

A few weeks ago I passed out flyers around the neighborhood asking for your help. I am happy to say thank you to all my neighbors and friends for making the neighborhood bake sale and fund raiser for the disaster relief so very successful. The two Tucker Krogers on Lavista near Nothlake Mall and on Lawrenceville next to Wal-Mart let us set up tables for our sale. Kroger was very helpful and supportive of our efforts and I hope we can show our appreciation with our patronage. With your loving help and support we were able to raise over $2100. Every penny went directly to the disaster relief efforts in New York, Washington D.C. and Pennsylvania. Thank you to everyone who gave their time to bake wonderful treats and who came out to help sell at the tables. Many of you also gave very generous monetary gifts that were combined with the bake sale proceeds. Thank you all so very much for making this possible and for giving each other hope and a little joy during this most tragic of circumstances. I am so proud to call this neighborhood my home!
