Hausman Road & Flood Improvement Update Jan 2010

On 5 January 2010, at 6:00 p.m., James Warren from Hunters Brook attended a meeting with City Councilman Reed and the San Antonio Drainage District. The road and flood improvements were moved back to start construction on September 2011. I said that was too late and unacceptable since our homes are flooding with 8 inches of rain. I also asked if the UTSA sport complex construction was going to start before the bridge improvements and they said yes. After the meeting I attempted to talk with the three different City and County representatives and was brushed off to the next by each.

I sent an e-mail with pictures the next day to Councilman Reed who was unfamiliar with our flooding situation. He called me the next day and came to my house to look. We walked the property and discussed some temporary ways to reduce the flooding. This was the first time anyone from the City responded and showed an interest. I want to thank Councilman Reed for coming and discussing this issue. He said he will contact me soon.
