RoseMary Acrey was born July 3, 1931 and went to be with her Lord February 18, 2016 after her long courageous battle with Glioblastoma.

Visitation at the church Monday, February 22, between 5:30-8:00PM with the rosary being recited at 7:00PM.

Services will be Tuesday, February 23, 2016, 9:30am at St Frances Cabrini Church, 10727 Hartsook St. Houston, TX. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale and a luncheon will follow at the church at noon.

RoseMary was preceded in death by her mother Rosa Braunagel, father Fred Braunagel, brother James Braunagel, husband Albert Acrey, daughter Kay Acrey, son Albert Jr. (Buddy) Acrey, survived by her youngest daughter Carol Walthall, "son-in-law", James (Jim) Walthall, grandchildren Justin and Jonathan, daughter-in-law Leslie Acrey, and siblings, Joseph Braungel, Raymond Braungel, Joyce Myles, Dorothy Brown, Charles Braungel, Cheryl Littlefield, Irene Arrant, Kathleen Knighton and a large extended family.  RoseMary believed the key to happiness was staying involved with family & friends and serving others. She was active in giving of herself in church events, her neighborhood Civic Club and the Life Gift organization where she received Volunteer of the Year Award in 2001. She was an active member of St. Frances Cabrini Church where she served as President of the Women's Guild, served weekly in Adoration and The Apostles of Goodwill. She was the President of her Neighborhood Civic Club and she planned trips with the Young at Heart Group and AARP. After working 20 years at Ellington A.F.B., she was a member of the Ace in the Hole Club. As a widow of 43 years, RoseMary persevered in her activities even after losing her oldest daughter Kay and only son Albert Jr. (Buddy). Throughout it all, her family was near to her heart and she leaves a legacy of love and kindness for them to cherish.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to St Frances Cabrini's Apostles of Good Will, The St Frances Cabrini's building fund, The St Frances Cabrini's Women's Guild or Mike Yancy's Place http://mikeyancysplace.com/ .
