CITY HOSTS PARENTING EVENT

To enhance families?’ understanding of the natural seasons of growth and change in children, the Detroit Department of Health and Wellness Promotion?’s (DHWP) Village Health Workers and the Parenting Awareness Month (PAM) Coalition present PAM 2005: Cycles of Healthy Parenting, Parents and Children Riding Forward Together. The event is Friday, Feb. 25 in rooms D3-16 and D3-28 of the Cobo Conference/Exhibition Center.
Early registration for the event is at 5 p.m. Events and activities will entertain and educate families from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. The free event features refreshments, DHWP?’s Youth Development Institute (YDI) Steppers, free books for all children, vendors, music, face painting, an Old School Game Room, and inflatable gyms for children.
