The meeting was called to order by George Beltz at 6:30 PM.
George recognized those attending which where new.
Bill Wagoner reported that he has setup a website for Hoover Neighborhood Association on Face Book. Many have already joined the site.
The yearly garage sale is set for Saturday at Hoover Elementary School parking lot. Bring your donations before 9AM. Setup will begin at 7:30 AM.
The neighborhood litter cleanup is set for Saturday, May 16th from 8-11 or noon.
Hoover will hold an assembly on Friday, April 17th at 1 PM. The assembly will recognize the Partners in Education. The neighborhood association is one of those partners. Nancy will attend to represent our association.
Sherry Clark from Alert Neighbors was introduced as our speaker. Topics she discussed were:
Be alert when out and about
Make your home safe and secure
Watch out for con artists
Get involved in the community
Sherry noted that close neighbors result in a safe neighborhood. She reminded the group to use the 211 number to seek any information on any issue in Tulsa. This is a non emergency number staffed with many qualified individuals to assist you.
Mary from LeVan’s flowers gave a presentation on planting flowers in containers. She gave many useful tips for the do it yourself gardener.
