Prescription Discount Program for Citizens of Midlothian

Beginning Monday, October 26, 2009 the City of Midlothian, Texas will be one of only 13 cities in Texas and one of only four cities in the DFW area to offer its citizens a prescription discount card program.
All citizens of Midlothian can use this card at most local pharmacies when filling their prescriptions. The program is offered in collaboration with the National League of Cities (NLC) to their member cities through CVS Caremark. The NLC prescription discount card is designed to help citizens save money on prescriptions that are not covered by insurance. This is not an insurance program.
There are no age or income restrictions. There are no restrictions and no limits on how many times individuals can use the card. One card can be used by all family members. Citizens will pay the negotiated discount price offered through the program or the pharmacy’s retail price whichever is lower. There is no waiting period. Citizens simply present their card at a participating pharmacy.
Cards will be available at the following locations in Midlothian:
City Hall
Conference Center
Senior Center
Police Department (front Window)
Municipal Court
Manna House
A. H. Public Library
Midlothian Chamber of Commerce
More than 59,000 pharmacies nationwide participate in the program, including the major chains as well as many independent pharmacies.
