HOW TO AVOID FRAUD

Watch out for credit card scams. Do NOT give your credit card number or social security number to anyone or any business you do not trust. Be alert for people who call and say you have won a prize and they need your credit card number or social security number. Generally,these are boiler room operator who are trying to scam you.

We are in the neighborhood doing repairs, &we have a great deal

Resist shady repair services. If they come to your door or have magnetic placards on their truck or no business card BEWARE. Thank them and tell them no thanks. Reliable businesses do NOT operate this way. Call the Better Business bureau and check them out. Also, alert other neighbors and crimewatch coordinators and police.
