ZONING BOARD DENIES CHURCHES REQUEST

At a Thursday November 16, 2000 meeting of the zoning board, a unanimous decision was made after a lengthy presentation by the petitioner to deny their request for a zoning variance. Many members of our group were in attendance. Some of those there were: Deborah Duncan,Jo Sharpe Jim Wood, Fannie & Billy Proctor, Raymond Buchanan, Norma Baker & Glenn Clark. After hearing from the opposition, The board agreed that there was ample evidence to show that this request was not possible from a engineering viewpoint. Hats off to Mrs. Sharp and her daughter Angela Sharpe-Dotson & her husband, Dr. Phillip Dotson for their assistance in distributing flyers and the mantaining and circulating the petition.
