This is a biennial national conference that will be held in Louisville this year, a central location in the USA. The Friday evening keynote speaker at 7:30 is free and open to the public, but prior registration is necessary. Other conference fees will apply for other portions of the conference.
Since some potentially interchurch couples leave the church completely rather than realizing that there can be one family with two Christian denominations, they may not be able to receive the announcement of this conference through their churches.
We do not seek to convert anyone, but support them as they choose to live their marriages. By coming to this conference, couples will hear ideas that may work for them, but there is no blueprint for being in an interchurch marriage. Each couple must decide for themselves. Extended families, who love them, may get ideas for ways to be supportive of an interchurch marriage. Clergy will gain insight into the pastoral care for interchurch families.
The Conference will take place from June 27- June 29 at Laws Lodge of the Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. Registration materials can be found at www.aifusa.org
