Article from the Wilson Post:

Home invasion likely drug related
By ZACK OWENSBY
A home invasion that occurred early Friday morning in Mt. Juliet left one man in the hospital and the other answering questions reportedly about drugs.

Jay Shank, 20, and Bryan D. Myers, 18, were sleeping in the home of Shank?’s mother, Tammy Scott, at 3009 Dunedin Court in the Hickory Hills subdivision, when two armed men entered the house through an unlocked front door at 5 a.m., Friday. One was carrying a shotgun, the other a handgun, according to Mt. Juliet Police Chief Ted Floyd. Scott was not home.

Shank managed to escape before the two individuals could stop him, but Myers could not. Myers was shot in the hip with the handgun and believed to have been pistol-whipped about the head.

Myers was LifeFlighted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he underwent surgery, Floyd said, adding he is not believed to have life-threatening injuries.

Although both gunmen escaped before police arrived, Floyd said he has a very good list of suspects, all of which are believed to be from Nashville.

At the time of the interview, Floyd said two parties were in the process of picking up the suspects.

?“I am very confident arrests will be made this weekend or early next week,?” Floyd said. ?“There was a robbery and we do believe it was drug-related. There?’s a lot of crime going on right now, in Mt. Juliet, Lebanon and all across the county,?” he added, alluding to the recent robberies at local drug store pharmacies.

?“I believe almost all of our crime is related to drugs, drugs and alcohol.?”

thanks for the news

Wow, I'm a little shocked to read this article, but I appreciate you posting it. It just goes to show that you're not safe in any neighborhood, really.
Scary

THis is very scary. Another reason we need to re-launch the Neighborhood watch
