Preview Show and Autumn Art Fair at Garfield Park Arts Center Indy Parks and Recreation is CURRENTLY displaying the Preview Show for the new Autumn Art Fair at the Garfield Park Arts Center “in the heart of the park,” coming November 22.   Excepting Mondays, GPAC is open every afternoon from 1-5. In addition in opens early at 10 a.m. Saturdays and stays open until 9 p.m. on Wednesdays. Free to the public, the preview and the fair focus on carefully hand-created art which is family friendly and affordable. Award-winning artists from Indianapolis, Brown County, and the surrounding areas are displaying their wares of all kinds: birdhouses, ceramics, drawings, glass, gourds, jewelry, leather, paintings, photos, textiles, and carved wood. The Preview items and many more go on sale at the Autumn Art Fair Sat., Nov. 22, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Come watch demonstrations! Have your portrait sketched! In addition, Manual High School art students and Garfield Park’s own Creative Kids will show and sell their art. There will be some items which especially appeal to children. Come see this extraordinary art for sale. There’s plenty of free parking. Garfield Park Arts Center, 2432 Conservatory Drive, is located about 2 1/2 miles southeast of downtown, just east of Madison between Raymond and Southern.
