Heritage Glen Most Common Complaints - How to File a Complaint

Deed Restriction Top Complaints

Dear homeowners, friends and neighbors, your homeowners association board members would like to welcome you to the neighborhood! We would also like to help you become knowledgeable about important issues that we are currently addressing in order to make our neighborhood a great one.

Found in the Declaration of Restrictions, the most common deed restriction violations are as stated:

* without written approval of the Architectural Committee, there shall be no “exterior structure” erected on any lot. Examples are: temporary or permanent basketball goals, decks, gazebos, fences, sheds, patio enclosure, swingset, trampoline, swimming pool, hot tub, playhouse and are found in Section 1 (g) and shows more examples, as well as in Section 9.

*if you decide to paint your house, your paint color must be approved by the architectural committee before doing so – Section 5 (a)

*no trash cans may be place outside except after sundown of the day before collections found in Section 9 (t)

*cars may not be parked in the street overnight – Section 9 (d, f & g)

Trucks or commercial vehicles with gross weight of 12,000 pounds are prohibited unless actually being used for a specific purpose for which it is designed – Section 9 (e)

*there shall be no storage of items outdoors- Section 9 (s)

*yards must be maintained regularly, and grass may not exceed 4 inches – Section 11

*garage doors shall remain closed at all times except when necessary - Section 9 (u)

These are the violations that we as a neighborhood feel most strongly about. There are more, but these are most common concerns. There are times when these things can often be overlooked (like your garage door staying open).
If you have any questions about any of these issues, please go to that section of the Declaration of Restrictions and read more about it. If you do not have a copy of the restrictions, please notify any of the board members in order to promptly get you one.

Thank you for helping us make Heritage Glen a great place to live!
