Was our scheduled speaker but cancelled on advice of council. Instead he offered to meet our president, Kathy Murphy, in a neutral location so she could convey the “opposition’s” viewpoint. Kathy declined to do this; instead she offered contact information for Mr. Hurley. Twelve people negatively impacted by this development did show up as did one property owner from the area in favor. Lively and heated discussion took place.

Concerns ranged from misrepresentation to annexation and expansion of urban growth boundaries to police coverage to utility and road costs. The group opposing this project is actively in the community, at town meetings, etc.

Bridge the Gap

HNA is supporting this organization which collects much needed personal items for foster children. Collection barrels will be placed at Great Clips salons at NE 137th & NE Padden Pkwy and SE 192nd Ave & SE 34th St. You may also bring items to HNA meetings. Items needed in clued school supplies, back backs and luggage, new clothes, etc.

Has retired. We would like to find a replacement? Would you consider volunteering?

HNA Publicity
There is a lot of misunderstanding about what a neighborhood association is (we are NOT a homeowners association). We are placing pamphlets at area businesses in an attempt to spread the word but nothing would work as well as YOU telling your neighbors.

Meetings are lively and full of general discussions about area developments, crime prevention and other subjects of interest to everyone. Please come join us.
