McGloughlin Park Update:
On Tuesday, August 28th, HGWFNA Chrirperson Bill Vickers along with neighbors Ron Harlin and Mike Kolsut, met with Dee Craig, Director fo Oregon City Parks. They addressed the HGWFNA's opposition to the new McGloughlin School park proposal. The HGWFNA's voiced objections to Dee in regard to:
1. The residents fo Hazel Grove/Westling Farm were never given an opportunity to provide input into this proposal. Rather the proposal was developed "behind closed doors" and forced upon us.
2. The plan currenly contains a 22 car parking lot along Filbert Drive that will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, causing concern for public safety.
3. Filbert Drive, Hazel Grove Drive, as well as Salmonberry and Skellenger Way will be overwhelmed with parked vehicles should the park be developed.
4. Port-a-Potties are planned for the pen area under the oak trees along Filbert Drive which is only 20' from a HGWF residents' home.
