Hawthorne Valley Home Owners Association

HCMaster Association Meeting Notes

Aug 07, 2006

Bell Tower maintenance is completed.

Wrought iron fence replacement, repairs, and painting will begin mid-August.

Flower bed masonry repairs will begin mid-August.

No dues increase is planned for next year. HCMA is in solid financial shape.

Hawthorne Plaza changed ownership and management recently. The new representative attended part of the meeting.

Linden Place - Jerry has collected past and current dues. Tom French has bought 3 lots and will be building in Linden Place. HCMA maintenance there is limited to lawn care and fence care facing Nall.

Lake - 1) Voted to purchase a backup fountain motor because it can sometimes take several weeks to get a motor repaired or replaced. This allows algae to grow too much and is more expensive to clean up. 2) Jerry has talked to the Menorah contractor who is controlling erosion as much as possible. 3) Park Place and 119th & Roe drainage flows to the East away from Hawthorne, so these projects appear to have no negative impact to the lake. 4) Walking trail needs minor touch up. HCMA is witholding payment to contractor until he cleans it up.

Voted to plant 4 trees along Roe Avenue. This will be planned for the Fall or Spring.

HCMA Limitations - The Master Association charter does not authorize it to make improvements to walls and landscape. It can only provide maintenance.
