Subject: 2008 Grove Park Neighborhood Association-Information and Annual Meeting Announcement

Annual Meeting:

Please be advised that our By-Laws require an annual meeting, scheduled for Monday, February 11, 2008, 6:30 PM at the Clubhouse. Please see the following attachments to help you all prepare for the meeting. Your attendance is requested.

• Agenda
• 2008 Proposed Budget
• Proxy Form- should you be unable to attend. You may name any other homeowner as proxy.
• Letter to homeowners describing video surveillance system-this is an optional expense for the 2008 budget
• Directory update sheet, if you need to update or make changes

Annual Dues:

Base upon the Board’s review of the budget, we have set the annual neighborhood dues at $375-no change from last year. Make checks payable to Grove Park Homeowner’s Association and mail to attention of Kurt Graunke, 9461 Grove Trail Lane. All payments are due January 31. Although now set at $375 annually, the dues may be changed at your discretion with your vote on the budget.

Board Vacancies:

We have 2 board vacancies in 2008: Darin Drake’s position and Frank Chirco’s position. The By-Laws do not prohibit a re-nomination of those board members coming off expired terms, although Frank Chirco has stated he does not want to be nominated for another two-year term. (I am undecided!) A special thanks to Frank for being an active board member through the years!
If you would like to nominate someone, please contact Liz Jacobs at 753-1421 or email her at Ljacobs10@comcast.net. Board positions are for 2 years and are currently staggered.

Officer Appointments:

Officer appointments are set annually i.e. President, Vice President, and Secretary. This will be an action item at the meeting.

Clubhouse Coordinator and Property Management Contract:

Currently, Sandy Emerling is our Clubhouse Coordinator and Kurt Graunke our property manager. These are paid positions from budgeted funds. While Kurt’s contract is near approval for 2008 and Sandy is an experienced coordinator, I want to remind everyone that all others are invited to apply for these positions on a regular basis. This statement is in no way a negative reflection on these great folks, but I do not want anyone to think that we practice cronyism.
