Not important enough
One thing I recall from all the meetings I have attended where the police are represented, is that if we see trouble, we are to call and they will respond. ''It is important that we catch them in the act.'' I can not tell you how many times I have heard that. And it's amazing how frequently culprits are caught in the act an hour and a half later. It is also amazing at how many excuses they come up with for why that don't show. I finally figured it out. We pay for these people to be trained in making excuses. Not in serving the public. It's always the same story, all talk, no do. And when they, our elected and civil servants, do do something, it hurts us like H E double hockey sticks. I am just getting really sick of paying through the nose for improved services that never materialize. Like we are paying for a huge stadium that promised to give us a winning team, or like paying more for bus fares and taxes to improve bus service that was cut from our neighborhood or the removal of 17 homes so we would be out of the flood plain. The city raised our property values based on that wall as if we are out of the plain but we are not. Just so they coul more money out of us. For What? More lies and propaganda? Just like we pay a county supervisor to practice being a govenor. I would love to be able to see things from the perspective of all of our elected officials and the city and county personel that run things, and that we pay. Problem is, I don't think I can get my head that far up my you know what.
