Why can't we be our own ''grid''?

Apr 22, 2001

Why didn't the government establish alternative power funds so that small businesses would not be overly burdened by higher and higher energy/power costs?

Why is the surplus, money we overpaid, not being sent back or put to good use rather than just being burnt up by the energy suppliers?

If the central core of North Park was to install Solar panels and make it's own grid we could all share power. There would be less maintenance costs as a low volume of electricity would be running through the line because it would not be powering up to go miles and miles to other parts of the City. When ABC companies used less than their Solar panel was generating the excess energy would go to XYZ Co. across the street or next store. We have all of this roof space we are wasting. Infact we could even put it over surface parking spaces to make cart ports that would keep the customers cars cool while they do business with us.

We can do things different and better!

We deserve better.

If we as shop owners did give change back to a customer we would be in jail as thiefs, but we the State Government does it is just using the "surplus" wisely.

Well, this is our initial Newletter. I will be adding more to it as time goes on.
Hopefully we will have a quarterly edition.
