Minutes

Meeting was held at Peter Martin?’s home.

Tony Sebbio, agreed to coordinate with Lt. Mack of the Bartlett PD in recruiting Neighborhood Watch groups for membership in the GBC.

As such, the board members agreed to add a definition to the Council Charter that reads as follows:

Article III ?– Membership
Add at the end of the paragraph: Definition of the Homeowners Association is to include Neighborhood Watch Groups.

The GBC agreed to assign specific responsibilities amongst the board members as follows:
Paola High ?– Communications
Henry Boyd ?– Website
Peter Martin and Paul Houghland ?– Speakers and Long Term Planning

The Board agreed to invite Lucy Cormer from the Germantown Council of Neighborhood Associations to the next GBC meeting on March 2, 2006.

The Board also agreed to hold a debate with specific nominees for local offices during this election year for one of the GBC meetings.

The Board Committee of Peter Martin and Paul Houghland will take a more direct approach with the Neighborhood Association Presidents by taking the issues door to door on or about February 20. They will invite the Presidents to the next meeting.

Paola to put together directory of Neighborhood Associations Presidents.

It was discussed that the GBC could get exposure by sponsoring a Newsletter or a Neighborhood Project contest. The newsletter could include minutes from the last meeting, etc. Or, the minutes could be included in the website as a historical item.

Paola to get a copy of an up to date list of Neighborhood Watch directory.

The next GBC meeting is scheduled for March 2, 2006.
