There is a very interesting article in The Autism Society of Iowa Newsletter, The Link, FALL 2005 on Home Security/Safety.
It is a letter from a mother with several children with special needs. Some children with Autism Spectrum wander out of the house and out of the yard into dangerous situations. They need Safety Security Devices to monitor their movements.
Depending on their special need disorders some may be eligible for the Ill and Handicapped Waiver to assist in covering security systems. These include Talking Keypads for doors and windows, Listening Posts in various areas and Monitoring Cameras in strategic places.
