City of Graymoor-Devondale

Insurance Premium Tax

Aug 31, 2006

We need your help
And all you need to do is contact your home, car, boat, RV, rental and life insurance companies.
Make sure Graymoor-Devondale RECEIVES ALL insurance taxes from your insurance companies.
We need your help in making sure the tax money paid by your insurance companies comes to our City. Without your help, this tax money will continue to go to Metro Louisville and not come to Graymoor-Devondale, where it belongs. Since insurance company taxes are required on home, auto, boat, life, mortgage, fire and theft insurance polices, our city?’s budget benefits when we receive this significant tax revenue as income to our city. Unfortunately our City receives only half of the insurance premium taxes that we?’re entitled to receive from insurance companies. Your help is critical. Plus, notifying you insurance company to send these taxes to our City does not cost you any additional money.
Clip and send one of the notices below with your next insurance premium payment. Only you can ensure your insurance companies have the correct information to send their tax payment to our City Treasurer. As a follow-up, contact your insurance companies and make sure their records are permanently corrected. Residents that have their homeowner?’s insurance paid through an escrow account at their bank or mortgage company should include one of the notices below with the next mortgage payment and then contact the mortgage company or bank to make sure their records are corrected.
Thanks to all that have or will contact your insurance or mortgage company!
Your efforts have a positive impact on our city?’s budget!!
