Karen Lee Dance Theatre invites you to their first annual fundraiser on July 14 and 15. From 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. there will be live music, buffet style food and wine, silent auction, and an Argentine tango dance performance. At 8:30 Karen Lee Dance Theatre will perform My Guardian Angel, Muchas Gracias Momi with Karen Lee, Felipe Polanco, and Lane Saan. Then from 9:00 p.m. until midnight there will be a short dance lesson and open dancing with the big band sound of the Neil Bridge 7. Proceeds will benefit the dance company's free dance program for underprivileged children. Call 303-825-1116 for details.

The Denver Public Library Friends Foundation is looking for volunteers to work at their 25th Annual Used Book Sale, July 27-30. Golden Triangle businesses and people were well represented in this year's Colorado Peaks, the Denver Post's recognition of the best in all sorts of areas. The best bakery- Gateaux; best hot dog (at Coors Field) - The Denver Buffalo Co.; restaurant with the best wine list - Le Central; best actor - Paul Borillo, who appears frequently in Curious Theatre Company Productions at the Acoma Center; best museum - Colorado History Museum; best outdoor festival - Denver Blues and Bones Festival; best dance club - La Rumba; best place for a discreet rendezvous - the back booth at the bar in Dazzle; best residential architecture - 456 Washington St., designed and occupied by GTNA board member / architect Andrew Moss and his wife, Maria Cole; best place for a first date - Radex on Lincoln; and best place to hide from the world - Denver Public Library.

Donors to the Golding of the Triangle who were not recognized in last month's newsletter are Chris Vogts of Cherokee Dinging on 12th Avenue; Joanna Kenny, Century Lofts resident; and Bill Cook of Howard Lorton, Inc.

Students at The Art Institute of Colorado won six awards in this year's Student Art Director's Club Show including 1 gold, 1 silver, and 4 bronze.
